Before renting a Segway Personal Transporter or participating in a tour, you must complete a thorough training course. The course includes a hands-on riding session inside the store as well as a brief safety video, which is viewed on a large screen TV in our comfortable video area. Rental fees of up to $300 from any one rental may be applied toward the purchase of a Segway PT.

Due to the extreme conditions on the Playa and the extensive cleaning and restoration required afterwards, pricing is higher than for a normal rental. Pricing is $1,200 with delivery to/from the Playa or $1,000 if you pick up and drop off in Santa Monica. No overnight rentals other than Burning Man rentals will be allowed between 8/26 and 9/2. Please use the online booking link at the top of the page to make a reservation.

	Is there a deposit requirement for rental? We run an authorization on your credit card in an amount up to the total due.

	Do I have to wear a helmet? It is our policy to require renters to wear a helmet. One will be provided to you free of charge.

	Is there a minimum age to rent? You must be 18 years of age to rent a Segway PT. If you are under 18, you must weigh at least 100 lbs, be at least 12 years old, and have a parent or guardian sign a liability release and accompany you on the rental or tour.

	Where can I ride the Segway PT? You are free to ride anywhere in the area except on the Pier or the 3rd Street Promenade.

	How far will the Segway PT travel? The Segway PT can travel up to 24 miles on a single charge depending on riding conditions.
